TOPCASED 1.0.0 has been released

It is a great moment for all the persons involved in the Topcased project : the Topcased version 1.0.0 is released and it requires the last Eclipse 3.3 version (Europa code name).

UML Editor (the UMLjava feature contains also a generator, from a Java project, you can create the UML model and class diagram associated) : http://gforge.enseeiht.fr/frs/?group_id=34. You will need to install the UML2 project from the Eclipse website (http://www.eclipse.org/uml2)
SysML Editor : http://gforge.enseeiht.fr/frs/?group_id=20. You will need to install the Topcased Toolkit or Topcased UML Editor feature.

Topcased Experimental feature : http://gforge.enseeiht.fr/frs/?group_id=7. This feature contains AADL tools, Code generators (UML2Java, UML2C, UML2Python and SMUC) and a Documentation Generator. Note that generators either need Acceleo or openArchitectureWare components to work, but this time everything is packaged in the only one archive of the Experimental feature ! But you still need the Topcased toolkit to run all the tools of the experimental feature.

A traceability component (Tramway) is part of the Topcased Toolkit feature : http://gforge.enseeiht.fr/frs/?group_id=7. The Tramway feature (only) should be availble soon on the project download page : http://gforge.enseeiht.fr/frs/?group_id=47

A Change management component (gPM), a version is available here : http://gforge.enseeiht.fr/frs/?group_id=63

One more thing about the Subclipse component which is recommended as the tool for change management. You can download the expected feature (choose the version 1.2.3) from the official project site (http://subclipse.tigris.org/), or from the Topcased update site (http://topcased-mm.gforge.enseeiht.fr/release/update-site3.3/).

Now, a good piece of news : as you probably know, Topcased model transformations are since the beginning based on ATL (http://www.eclipse.org/m2m/atl/download/). With the previous Topcased milestones, it was mandatory to install ATL separately, but thanks to the ATLAS team efforts, this famous transformation engine is now integrated in our RCP ! Thanks guys !

OSATE-BA 0.1.0 has been released

This first release of OSATE-BA (Open Source AADL Tools Environment extension for Behavioural Annex) supports textual edition and parsing of AADL behavioural annex.

Be aware that AADL behavioural annex has still not been frozen : this tool is only intended for experimental work.

Since March there has been a lot of interest in the TOPCASED toolkit. You may have evaluated some of these tools. You you may not have found the answer to your needs. You find TOPCASED tools interesting, but not perfect. Certainly you need more information and documentation.

You will find here more information on our road map. Please send us your feedback on the TOPCASED usage and evaluation. We need this information to enhance and improve TOPCASED products.

If you are interested, you may want to contribute to the development effort.
